Our Auction Successes and Connections
We’re often contacted by clients who feel they may have an auction-worthy item or two they’d like to find a new home for. We are delighted to help them pursue this possibility, whether or not they have an actual estate sale in mind. We have two generations of experience identifying standout items and directing them to the appropriate auction house specialists. (In some instances, the sentimental value of a family heirloom somewhat exceeds its market value, and we can make other recommendations.)
We are skilled at providing the research needed to determine if your items are of significant value. We’ve had great success for our clients in identifying individual standout items in a broad range of categories, including: antique and Mid-century Modern furniture, fine art, Asian items, decorative furnishings, photography, fine jewelry, books, and textiles. We have contacts at a variety of auction houses, from Los Angeles and the Bay Area to New York, Dallas, and elsewhere.
These auction houses are currently closed for in-person sales, but their online presence is stronger than ever, and online auctions are increasingly attended by buyers worldwide. Morgan Estate Sales has consigned many desirable items to auction over the years, such that we are frequently able to negotiate lower-than-standard commission rates, benefitting our clients. Below are several of the items we’ve directed to auction in the past two years with excellent returns.
If you have possible treasures looking for a new home, we’d be delighted to consult with you. Please contact robb@morganestatesales.com or call (626) 221-4148. And while we’re sheltering-in-place like almost everyone else, we’re actively on the search for the next fabulous estate sale – to which you’ll all be invited, of course!
